Salome Naliaka: My Experience as an Intern

SRA is an association trying to better Syokimau and its residents and it’s an honor to be part of the team working towards achieving this major goal in a community yearning for develop in a focused fashion.

As an intern I have learnt to be courageous, self-driven to hatch new ideas and learn something new from the experts every day. Well, the journey has not been easy. All the same I appreciate the learning curve. Each day I step into the office, I learn how to perfect my marketing skills, communication and inter personal skills.

I am a strong believer in team work and working together with my fellow interns from different fields of education have so far empowered me to acquire skills that were initially not at my disposal. The greatest of these experiences has been getting involved to actualize the premier Syokimau Trade Expo. There were a several things to learn from selfless leaders like SRA Chairman John Thiongo, Humphrey Odhiambo, SRA Corporate Affairs Team Leader and Ann Kinya our immediate supervisor. As a community development student I am encouraged with the empowerment.
